Avoid These 3 Mistakes for a Successful High-Ticket Launch

Going into a launch without a clear understanding of what drives success is a primary mistake many business owners make. While the basics like announcing your offer, setting the right price, and marketing might be top of mind, there are critical mistakes that are often overlooked. Before you dive into preparing for your next big launch, take a moment to learn from these common missteps. Here are the top three mistakes I see business owners make time and again when launching their next cohort.

rocket launch with unlimited success

1. Overlooking the Importance of a Solid Registration Page

The first mistake is not investing enough in a strong registration page. This is your first point of contact with potential customers, where you make your first impression. A well-crafted registration page does more than just list product details and prices, it engages visitors, builds anticipation, and starts converting interest into firm commitments. It should clearly communicate the value of your event and include a compelling call to action that encourages sign-ups. Without this, even the most interested prospects might not sign up.

2. Assuming Interest Guarantees Attendance

Just because potential customers have expressed interest or RSVP’d to your launch doesn’t mean they’ll actually attend.

The second mistake is failing to keep your audience engaged until the launch date. Effective pre-launch communication is crucial. Regular updates, sneak peeks, and interactive content can maintain and heighten interest. Also, setting up an email sequence that reminds your audience why they can’t miss out on what you’re offering is CRUCIAL. This keeps the momentum going and helps ensure initial interest converts into attendance and participation.

3. Vague Calls to Action

The third common mistake is having vague or nonexistent calls to action. When potential customers reach your sales page, they should never have to guess what to do next. A clear, direct call to action is critical for moving them along the buying journey. Whether it’s signing up, making a purchase, or another specific action, make sure your CTA is bold and straightforward. This clarity helps reduce hesitation and boosts conversion rates, which is essential for any successful launch.

FUN FACT: I polled an audience of one of my past launches to ask what I missed that caused them not to purchase my offer – 80% stated it was my CTA, or better yet my lack of one. Imagine my surprise when they said they didn’t buy because I never came out and asked. If only I’d just said “would you like to get started today?”

BE CLEAR and concise in what you want from your audience - guide them INTO what action they can take. Nine out of ten times, it’s as simple as a straightforward command like “Hit the register button today to become a part of my exclusive membership at this discounted rate..”

The Take Away

A high-ticket launch can transform your business, but only if executed correctly. By addressing these common mistakes, you can ensure your launch strategy is as robust as your program offer. Remember, a successful launch is about more than just a great offer; it's about a strategic approach that engages and converts your target audience.

If you’re preparing for a launch, take these lessons to heart. Avoid these errors, and you'll set yourself up for better outcomes.
